Philip Nolen is an experienced litigation and trial attorney who focuses on helping small and mid-sized businesses, property owners, and business operators achieve the best possible outcomes in complex real estate, banking, and construction disputes. His practice is heavily concentrated in construction-related litigation, including mechanic’s liens, lien enforcement actions, contract performance disputes, payment disputes, and construction defect matters.
In addition to construction litigation, Philip represents clients in a broad range of commercial and civil disputes involving real estate conflicts, fraud claims, breach of contract matters, probate litigation, fiduciary duty disputes, and business-related controversies. He also advises clients on transactions involving real estate, construction, and business operations, giving him a practical understanding of both the litigation and transactional sides of complex disputes.
Philip is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and before the Texas Courts of Appeal. His courtroom experience and practical business-oriented approach allow him to aggressively advocate for clients while remaining focused on efficient and strategic resolutions.
A sixth-generation Texan and native of the Texas Hill Country, Philip brings deep Texas roots and values to his legal practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from Texas State University before obtaining his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston.
Philip and his wife have made Houston their home, where they are raising their two children. Outside the practice of law, Philip enjoys spending time with his active family and staying involved in the community he proudly serves.
